How to embed Twitter/X posts

Step-by-step guide on how to embed Twitter/X posts on your Linkie page

You can embed a Twitter/X post on your Linkie page by copying the post's HTML embed code and adding it with an HTML Code card.

Add an embed card

Go to your Linkie dashboard and click Click to add link, post, embed, etc. in the playground.

Choose the HTML Code option

Choose Add an embed from the cards.

Click HTML Code.

Copy the Twitter/X embed code

Open the Twitter/X post you want to embed. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the post, then choose Embed post.

You will be redirected to a new tab where you can choose the embed format. Select Embedded Post. Click Copy Code to copy the HTML code.

Paste the code in Linkie

Go back to Linkie and paste the embed code into the HTML Code field. You can also add an optional title for tracking analytics.

When embedding with HTML, avoid using event attributes like onclick, because they rely on JavaScript, which many platforms block for security reasons.

Preview your embedded post

Click Preview at the top right of the playground to see how the Twitter/X post will look on your Linkie page.

You can edit the embed from the top-right corner of the card, or remove it from your Linkie page by clicking the bin icon.

Things to note

  • Embed cards are full width by default. You cannot resize the width, but you can adjust the height.
  • You can include custom HTML elements, such as headings. For example: <h1>Hello world</h1>.
