How to add website links to Linkie

Website links help you share blog posts, products, announcements, landing pages, or any other important page on your Linkie profile.

Open the add menu

Go to your Linkie dashboard and click Click to add link, post, embed, etc.

Choose Add a website link from the options available.

Copy the website URL

Copy the URL you want to add. This can be a blog post, store product, social post, landing page, or any other website URL, for e.g: https://publer.com.

If you add a social post as a website link, you will not be able to change the redirect URL. However, you can customize the icon and add a button, which is not possible when using the Add a social post option. Learn how to add social posts to your Linkie here.

Go back to Linkie, paste the website URL, then click Add Link.

Review the generated preview

Linkie will automatically generate a preview with the title, image, and description. By default, the website link is added as a full-size rectangle card.

Choose a layout

After adding your link, choose the layout style that works best for your Linkie profile. Website links support four layout options.

Use:

  • Small Icon when you want a simple website icon without a large card preview. You can edit the website icon by hovering over the image, clicking the camera icon, and uploading a new picture.
  • Horizontal Rectangle for a wider card that shows the website title and icon. You can edit the icon by hovering over the image, clicking the camera icon, and uploading a new one. To edit the title, click the title text and start typing.
  • Small Square for a compact card with a website thumbnail, title, and CTA button. You can edit the icon, title, and CTA button by clicking the area you want to update.
  • Full-Size Rectangle for featured links that need a larger image, title, description, and CTA button. You can edit the icon, thumbnail, title, and CTA button by clicking the area you want to update. To replace the icon or thumbnail, hover over the image, click the camera icon, and upload a new one.

Things to note

  • Website links always open the original URL. You cannot set a custom redirect URL for them.
  • You can edit the website link's thumbnail, title, icon, and CTA button, depending on the selected layout.
  • Website cards cannot be resized manually. Choose one of the four available layout options instead.
  • The social network icon shown on the top-left side of a social post preview cannot be changed.
