How to add website links to Linkie
Step-by-step guide on how to add website links to Linkie
Website links help you share blog posts, products, announcements, landing pages, or any other important page on your Linkie profile.
Open the add menu

Go to your Linkie dashboard and click Click to add link, post, embed, etc.
Choose the website link option

Choose Website Link from the options available.
Copy the website URL
Copy the URL you want to add. This can be a blog post, store product, social post, landing page, or any other website URL, for e.g: https://publer.com.
Paste the link in Linkie

Go back to Linkie, paste the website URL, then click Add Link.
Review the generated preview
Linkie will automatically generate a preview with the title, image, and description. By default, the website link is added as a full-size rectangle card.
Choose a layout

After adding your link, choose the layout style that works best for your Linkie profile. Website links support four layout options.
Use:
- ICON when you want a simple website icon without a large card preview. You can edit the website icon by hovering over the image, clicking the camera icon, and uploading a new picture.
- PORTRAIT for a wider card that shows the website title and icon. You can edit the icon by hovering over the image, clicking the camera icon, and uploading a new one. To edit the title, click the title text and start typing.
- LANDSCAPE for a compact card with a website thumbnail, title, and CTA button. You can edit the icon, title, and CTA button by clicking the area you want to update.
- FULL for featured links that need more space for the title, description, and CTA button. This layout does not support a website thumbnail image. You can edit the icon, title, and CTA button by clicking the area you want to update.

Resizing the link thumbnail

When you use the Large Rectangle layout, you can change how the thumbnail image is displayed inside the card.
Use:
- The wide rectangle option to show a shorter, wider thumbnail that takes up about half of the card width.
- The square option to make the thumbnail square. This gives the image more height while still leaving room for the title and button on the left.
- The tall rectangle option to make the thumbnail narrower and taller on the right side. This leaves the most space for the text and button on the left.

Things to note
- Website links always open the original URL. You cannot set a custom redirect URL for them.
- Only the Large Rectangle layout supports a website thumbnail image. The other layouts use the website icon instead.
- Website cards cannot be resized manually. Choose one of the four available layout options instead.
- The social network icon shown on the top-left side of a social post preview cannot be changed.
