How to embed Telegram posts

Step-by-step guide on how to embed Telegram posts on your Linkie profile

You can add a Telegram post to your Linkie profile by copying its embed code from Telegram and pasting it into an HTML Code embed card.

Add an embed card

Go to the Linkie playground and click Click to add link, post, embed, etc.

Choose the HTML Code option

Choose Add an embed from the cards.

Click HTML Code.

Copy the Telegram embed code

Open the Telegram post you want to embed in your browser. For example, open a post URL like https://t.me/durov/68.

Click Embed, then click Copy to copy the post's HTML embed code.

Paste the code in Linkie

Go back to Linkie and paste the embed code into the HTML Code field. You can also add an optional title for tracking analytics.

When embedding with HTML, avoid using event attributes like onclick, because they rely on JavaScript, which many platforms block for security reasons.

Preview your embedded post

Click Preview at the top right of the playground to see how the Telegram post will look on your Linkie profile.

Editing or removing it

You can edit the embed at the bottom of the card, or remove it from your Linkie profile by clicking the bin icon.

Things to note

  • Telegram posts need to be public before they can be embedded.
  • Embed cards are full width by default. You cannot resize the width, but you can adjust the height.
  • You can include custom HTML elements, such as headings. For example: <h1>Hello world</h1>.
