How to embed HTML code

Step-by-step guide on how to embed HTML code on your Linkie profile

Use HTML Code when you want to add something that Paste URL does not support. You can add a service's embed code, such as a form or widget, or create a simple custom HTML block of your own.

Open the Cards menu

Click Click to add link, post, embed, etc. in the playground.

Choose HTML Embed

Click HTML Embed.

Select HTML Code

Choose HTML Code.

Copy the embed code

Open the service or custom HTML file you want to add. Look for an Embed, Share, Add to website, or Copy code option, then copy the code it provides. If you created your own HTML, copy that instead.

Paste the code in Linkie

Go back to Linkie and paste the code into the HTML Code field. You can also add an optional title for tracking analytics, then click Add embed.

Provider embeds that use an iframe are the most reliable for forms and widgets. Custom HTML can display basic content such as headings, text, and links, but scripts and event attributes such as onclick may be blocked for security.

Preview your embed

Click Preview at the top right of the playground to check the embed on your Linkie profile.

Things to note

  • Use Paste URL first when the service supports it. Use HTML Code for provider embed code or custom HTML.
  • Use custom HTML for styled content and links. Use a provider's iframe code for interactive tools such as forms and widgets.
  • The source service controls whether its content can be embedded.
  • Choose Square to display the embed in your profile grid, or Full size to display it across the full width of its row.

Optional template: affiliate product picks

Use this template to share affiliate products on your Linkie profile. Replace the product names, descriptions, and example URLs with your own.
