How do automated posts work in Linkie?

Step-by-step guide on how Automated Posts work on Linkie

Automated Posts let you keep your Linkie profile updated from connected workflows. You can publish automated posts through the Linkie API or, once available, through the Publer integration.

Add Automated Posts to your profile

Go to the playground and click Click to add link, post, embed, etc.

Choose Automated Posts

When the Cards menu appears, click Automated Posts.

The Automated Posts section will appear at the bottom of your Linkie profile playground.

Click Save at the top right of the page to save the section to your Linkie profile.

Publish posts through the API

Use the Linkie API docs to set up automated posts via API.

Automated posts are useful when you want content from another workflow, such as posts you publish on Instagram, to also appear on your Linkie profile.

Make sure your API key includes the right Automated posts permission scope. Choose Read & Write if your integration needs to create, update, or remove automated posts.

Publish posts through Publer

In order to learn how to add posts to Linkie through Publer, please check out this help article: How to add Posts to Linkie - Publer.

Open Automated Posts options

At the bottom of the playground, find the Automated Posts section.

Click the three dots to the right of Automated Posts to open the section menu. The menu includes:

  • Remove Automated Posts
  • API docs
  • Publer integration

Click API docs to open the Linkie API docs.

Remove Automated Posts

Open the three-dot menu next to Automated Posts, then click Remove Automated Posts.

A confirmation dialog will appear:

Click Cancel to keep the section, or click Remove to remove it from your Linkie profile.

Removing the Automated Posts section does not disconnect active automations. If you have active API or Publer automations, disconnect them as well to fully disable automated publishing.

Load more automated posts

If the section has **12 **or fewer automated posts, no extra load control appears.

When the section has more than 12 posts and Automated Posts is the last card on your Linkie profile, visitors can keep scrolling to load more posts.

When the section has more than 12 posts and Automated Posts is not the last card on your Linkie profile, visitors will see a gradient blur and a + View more posts button instead.

Remove an individual automated post

You can remove individual posts from the Automated Posts section.

If you hover the post card, a delete button will appear in the top left of it. Click it to remove the post.

When you remove an automated post, it is permanently deleted.

Edit an automated post redirect link

Hover over the automated post you want to update.

Click Edit redirect link when the button appears.

A dialog will open with the current URL in an editable input field. Update the URL, then save your change.

Switch Automated Posts between Card and Feed view

The Card and Feed view toggle is visible only for the Automated Posts section.

Use Card view when you want automated posts to appear as separate cards.

Use Feed view when you want automated posts to appear in a more continuous feed layout.

For the general Linkie profile view setting, see How to switch between Card and Feed view.
