How to embed YouTube videos
Step-by-step guide on how to embed YouTube videos
Use the HTML Embed card to add videos from YouTube, Streamable, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and other supported video platforms to your Linkie page.
Open HTML Embed

Open your Linkie page in the playground, then click HTML Embed in the sticky menu at the bottom.
Using the sticky menu adds the new card at the top of your Linkie page as the newest post.
Add the card at a specific position instead

Instead of using the sticky menu, hover over the gap where you want the new card to appear, then click + Insert. The button appears only in gaps that span a full row, not between cards in adjacent columns. Clicking it chooses the position before you create the card.
Choose HTML. This opens the same creation dialog as the sticky menu. Fill in the information using the steps below. When you add the card, it appears in the gap you clicked.
Select Paste URL

Select Paste URL.
Copy the YouTube video link

Open the YouTube video you want to embed, then click Share and Copy to copy the video link.
Paste the link in Linkie

Paste the YouTube link into the URL field. You can also add an optional title for tracking analytics, then click Add Embed.
If the website supports embedding, Linkie will generate the video preview automatically.

After adding the embed, choose the card size that fits your Linkie page best:
- Square shows the video as a compact card that fits into your page grid. Depending on your selected layout, it will appear within your 2-column or 3-column grid.
- Full shows the video as a full-width rectangle. It takes the full width of your Linkie page and becomes the only card on that row.
Preview your embed

Click Preview at the top right of the playground to see how the embedded YouTube video will look on your Linkie page. The preview will show how the video appears in both Square and Full size layouts.
Optional: use HTML code instead

If you want to add the YouTube video with HTML embed code, choose HTML Code instead of Paste URL when creating the embed card.
Open the YouTube video, click Share, then select Embed.

Click Copy to copy the HTML embed code.

Go back to Linkie and paste the embed code into the HTML Code field. You can also add an optional title for tracking analytics.

onclick, because they rely on JavaScript, which many platforms block for security reasons.Things to note
