How to embed Spotify on your Linkie page

Step-by-step guide on how to embed Spotify on your Linkie page

You can add Spotify content to your Linkie page by pasting a playlist URL or by using Spotify's embed HTML code. Use the URL method for playlists, and use the HTML Code method for playlists, songs, albums, artists, and podcasts.

Embed a Spotify playlist with a URL

Open your Linkie page in the playground, then click HTML Embed in the sticky menu at the bottom. Choose Paste URL.

Using the sticky menu adds the new card at the top of your Linkie page as the newest post.

Add the card at a specific position instead

Instead of using the sticky menu, hover over the gap where you want the new card to appear, then click + Insert. The button appears only in gaps that span a full row, not between cards in adjacent columns. Clicking it chooses the position before you create the card.

Choose HTML. This opens the same creation dialog as the sticky menu. Fill in the information using the steps below. When you add the card, it appears in the gap you clicked.

Open Spotify and find the playlist you want to embed. Click the three dots, choose Share, then click Copy link to playlist.

Go back to Linkie, paste the Spotify playlist URL, then click Add Embed.

Click Preview at the top right of the playground to see how it will look on your Linkie page.

Embed Spotify with HTML code

Use this method for a Spotify playlist, song, album, artist, or podcast. Open your Linkie page in the playground, then click HTML Embed in the sticky menu at the bottom.

Choose HTML Code.

Copy the embed code from Spotify

Open Spotify and find the playlist, song, podcast, artist, or album you want to embed. Click the three dots, choose Share, then click the embed option, such as Embed playlist, Embed track, or Embed artist.

Click Copy to copy the HTML code.

Paste the embed code in Linkie

Go back to Linkie and paste the embed code into the HTML Code field. You can also add an optional title for tracking analytics.

When embedding with HTML, avoid using event attributes like onclick, because they rely on JavaScript, which many platforms block for security reasons.

Click Add Embed to add the Spotify embed to your Linkie page.

You can edit the embedded Spotify card from the top-right corner, or remove it by clicking the bin icon.

Click Preview at the top right of the playground to see how it will look on your Linkie page.

Things to note

  • Spotify playlist URLs can be added with the Paste URL option.
  • Spotify songs, albums, artists, and podcasts should be added with the HTML Code option.
  • Avoid event attributes like onclick when adding HTML code.
