How to change your Linkie settings

Step-by-step guide on how to change your Linkie settings, including your site title, description, favicon, social image, search visibility, and domain.

Your website settings help you control how your Linkie profile appears in browser tabs, search engines, and shared link previews. You can update your title, description, favicon, social image, search visibility, and domain all from one place.

Open Settings

Click your Linkie URL at the top-left corner of the playground. A dropdown menu will appear. From there, click on the Settings icon.

Site Settings Breakdown

By default, you'll land on Site Settings. This is where you can edit the main metadata for your Linkie profile, including:

  • Site Title: the title shown in the browser tab and on your Linkie profile.
  • Site Description: a short description of what your page is about.
  • Show page in search engines: a checkbox that lets you decide whether you want your Linkie to show up in search engines.
  • Favicon: the small icon shown in the browser tab.
  • Social Image: the image shown when your Linkie profile is shared.

Edit your Site Title

Your Site Title is the name that appears at the top of your Linkie profile and in the browser tab. By default, it may be set to Linkie - Your Ultimate Link In Bio, but you can change it to better match your name, brand, or business.

Edit your Site Description

Your Site Description is a short sentence that tells people, and search engines, what your Linkie profile is about. Keep it clear and simple so visitors quickly understand what they’ll find on your page.

Show your page in search engines

If you want your Linkie profile to appear in search engines like Google, turn on Show page in search engines.

If this option is left off, your Linkie profile will not appear in search results.

Change your Favicon

Your Favicon is the tiny icon that appears next to your page title in a browser tab. By default, Linkie uses the Linkie icon, but you can upload your own.

Hover over the favicon preview and upload your image. For best results, use a 32x32px image in ICO, PNG, GIF, or JPG format.

Change your Social Image

Your Social Image is the image people see when your Linkie profile is shared on social platforms or messaging apps as part of the embed.

By default, Linkie uses your profile picture as the social image. If you want to change it, hover over the image preview and upload a new one. The recommended size is 1200x630px.

Save your changes

Once you’ve updated your settings, click Save. You’ll see a success message when your changes have been saved.

Update Domain Settings

From the same Settings area, you can also manage your **Domain **settings.

You can either change your username on the free Linkie domain, like linkie.bio/yourname, or connect a custom domain that you own (requires a paid subscription).

Things to note

  • Your site title and description can help make your page clearer in search results and link previews.
  • If you don’t want your page to show up on Google, leave Show page in search engines turned off.
  • Use a recognizable favicon if you’re setting up your Linkie for a brand or business.
  • Use a clear social image so your Linkie looks polished when shared.
  • Don’t forget to click Save after making changes.
