Website links help you share blog posts, products, announcements, landing pages, or any other important page on your Linkie profile.

Open the add menu

Go to your Linkie dashboard and click Click to add link, post, embed, etc.

Choose the website link option

Choose Add a website link from the options available.

Copy the website URL

Copy the URL you want to add. This can be a blog post, store product, social post, landing page, or any other website URL, for e.g: https://publer.com.

||| If you add a social post as a website link, you will not be able to change the redirect URL. However, you can customize the icon and add a button, which is not possible when using the Add a social post option. Learn how to add social posts to your Linkie here.

Paste the link in Linkie

Go back to Linkie, paste the website URL, then click Add Link.

Review the generated preview

Linkie will automatically generate a preview with the title, image, and description.

Open domain settings

Click your Linkie URL at the top-left corner of the playground. A dropdown menu will appear.

From there, click the Settings icon.

Open Domain settings. This is where you can edit your free Linkie URL or connect your own custom domain.

Connecting a domain (`domain.com`)

Enter your domain in the custom domain field, for example domain.com, then click Save. The domain status will show as Pending while Linkie waits for the DNS records to be added.

||| If the domain you enter is incorrect, the status may show as Failed. Double-check the spelling and make sure the domain is active and correctly formatted.

Type your email address in the subscription form.
Check I agree to receive emails from account name to confirm that you want to receive updates from that Linkie profile.
Click Subscribe to finalize.

Verify your subscription

Linkie will send a 6-digit verification code to your email address. Open your inbox, copy the code, and paste it into the verification field.

After you paste the code, click Confirm.

What happens after you subscribe

If the Linkie profile owner has connected a Google Sheets spreadsheet to Linkie, your email will automatically appear in their collected emails list.

Open settings

In the settings menu, choose Domain. This is where you can manage your free Linkie domain and custom domain options.

Edit your username

In the Free Domain section, click the field and type in your new username.

Your username becomes the last part of your public Linkie URL, so choose something simple and easy to recognize.

Save your new username

After editing your username, click Save. Once you see the success message, close the settings tab by clicking the X at the top corner.

Find the social media post you want to add. Linkie supports social post URLs from platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, and more.

Open the post on its original platform, then copy the direct post URL. Depending on the platform, you may find it by clicking Share, clicking the three dots menu, or copying the URL from your browser address bar.

Paste the post URL in Linkie

Go back to Linkie and paste the social post URL into the field.

If you want visitors to open a different page when they click the post, turn on On click, redirect to a custom URL.
