# How to hide the Share button

# How to show or hide the Share button on your Linkie page

###### **Step-by-step guide on how to toggle the visibility of the Share button on your Linkie page**

The Share button lets visitors copy your Linkie page URL or share it directly on social platforms. It is shown by default, but you can hide it from your published page with an active Linkie Plus or Linkie Multi plan.

### Open page settings

Go to the [playground](https://app.linkie.bio/playground), then click your Linkie URL at the **top-left corner**. A dropdown menu will appear. From there, click the **Settings** icon.

### Open the Site settings tab

Inside **page settings**, open the **Site settings** tab. This is the first tab in the page settings menu. Then scroll to the **Hide the share button** option. This setting controls whether the Share button appears on your published Linkie page.

The Share button is shown by default when **Hide the share button** is turned off.

### Hide the Share button

Turn on **Hide the share button**, then click **Save**. After your changes are saved, the share button will no longer appear on your published Linkie page.

### Show the Share button again

To restore the Share button, return to **page settings**, open the **Site settings** tab, turn off **Hide the share button**, and click **Save**. The Share button will appear on your published page again.

### Check your published page

Click **Preview** at the top right of the [playground](https://app.linkie.bio/playground) to check how your page appears to visitors.

When the Share button is visible, visitors can click it to open the sharing window. They can copy the page URL or choose one of the available social platforms.

### Compare the share window across plans

Free pages show the **Create your free Linkie** CTA in the share window. Pages with an active paid plan do not show this CTA.

### Plan limitations

The option to hide the Share button is available only when the Linkie page has an active paid plan:

* **Linkie Plus**: you can hide the Share button on the covered Linkie page.
* **Linkie Multi**: you can hide the Share button on Linkie pages covered by the active Multi subscription.
* **Free**: you cannot hide the Share button. The Share button remains available, and the share window includes the **Create your free Linkie** CTA.

The **Create your free Linkie** CTA is shown automatically on Free pages. It is not displayed to visitors when the page has an active paid plan, and there is no separate setting for this CTA.

* The Share button is shown by default.
* Turn on **Hide the share button** and click **Save** to remove it from your published page.
* Turn the setting off and save again to show the Share button.
* Hiding the Share button requires an active Linkie Plus or Linkie Multi plan.
* The **Create your free Linkie** CTA is automatically removed from pages with an active paid plan.
